This role will involve translating project specifications into clean, tested, and easily maintainable code. You will work with the project and development teams, as well as the CTO, adhering closely to project plans and delivering work that meets both functional and non-functional requirements. You will have the opportunity to create innovative, secure, and scalable new features for our clients on the Shopify platform.

Velstar is a Shopify Plus agency, and we partner with brands to help them grow—and we do the same for our employees! Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, coupled with a willingness to tackle challenges head-on.
Over 3 years of back-end development experience, working on either multiple small projects simultaneously or large-scale applications.
Experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, Symphony, and/or Laravel.
Regular experience working with APIs and web services (REST, GrapthQL, SOAP, etc.).
Experience/awareness in developing Agile applications, off-the-shelf software, middleware, servers and storage, and database management.
Familiarity with version control and project management systems (e.g., GitHub and Jira).
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, coupled with a willingness to tackle challenges head-on.

Requirements
Desirable:
Working knowledge of e-commerce platforms, preferably Shopify, but also others such as Magento, WooCommerce, and Visualsoft to enable seamless migrations. Practical knowledge of payment gateways
Experience with API platform/building user-friendly APIs
