The journey

From structure to sustainability

My career began in the field — on reinforced concrete, on site, managing complex infrastructure projects across Jordan and Saudi Arabia. The shift toward sustainability was not a career pivot but a natural evolution, shaped by one undeniable reality: Saudi Arabia was redefining its relationship with the built environment. As the Kingdom embedded carbon commitments into Vision 2030 and aligned with global climate frameworks, I recognised that the construction sector needed professionals who could translate policy intent into technical delivery.

That recognition shaped every decision that followed — from pursuing dual LEED AP credentials and MOSTADAM AP status, to leading sustainability programmes on giga-projects including NEOM, AMAALA, and King Salman Park, to enrolling in a PhD in Carbon Management at Heriot-Watt University, where my research examines how the Kingdom's construction sector perceives and governs embodied carbon at a professional level.
Expertise

Technical depth across the full project lifecycle

My practice spans the complete sustainability delivery chain — from energy modelling, daylight simulation, and Revit compliance through to full LEED and MOSTADAM credit submission. On the materials side, I manage VOC compliance, recycled content verification, and Environmental Product Declarations aligned with ISO 14025 and EN 15804, as well as Health Product Declarations under the HPD Open Standard.

At the corporate level, I prepare ESG disclosures aligned with GRI, IFRS S1/S2 (ISSB), SASB, and TCFD frameworks — translating project-level performance into governance-grade reporting that serves developers, investors, and regulators across the Kingdom.
Carbon & LCA

Quantifying what others leave qualitative

As a certified Construction Life Cycle Assessment Specialist, I use OneClick LCA to conduct embodied carbon assessments, circularity analyses, and EPD development for construction products and systems — including verified submissions for Saudi steel, concrete, and aggregate manufacturers. This technical capability sits at the intersection of my professional practice and my doctoral research, which examines the readiness of Saudi Arabia's construction industry to govern embodied carbon at a systemic level.

Saudi Arabia's sustainability commitments are not a compliance checkbox. They are the foundation of a generational transformation in how we design, build, and operate the built environment — and I intend to be part of shaping that foundation.
